Your Team for Liverpool?
Adrian

Jenkinson - Tomkins - Reid - Cresswell

Song - Noble

Downing - Amalfitano

Sakho - Carroll

Subs: Jussi. JO'B. Demel. Nolan. Poyet. Cole. Valencia

But he'll probably have Nolan in instead of Morgan.

Serious question

If people think Nolan isn't good enough to start, why would you even put him on your bench? - It's not like he has the attributes to be an impact sub is it?

Which version of Song is going to turn up?

He was having a stinker yesterday. Just think what this Board would have been like if we'd payed millions for him.

For me he is too slow to start in a midfield with Noble. Imagine the pace in Liverpool's team from the off. Liverpool will want to have a go at us from the first whistle and Nolan doesn't have the legs. But in the later stages for the game when Liverpool tire, he could come on and maybe nick a goal. I am not his biggest fan but he is committed and is a good leader. I don't see who else you would have on the bench in his place anyway.

They have bucket loads of pace

Nolan simply cannot start

Agree that he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11.

But disagree that Liverpool will tire anywhere near enough for him to be affective coming on. For him to nick a goal, he would need to be playing in his favoured position of just off Carroll or at worst tip of diamond. We have better players in both positions.

He is a watse of a position in the starting lineup and also off the bench.

The sooner Sam realises that playing him means we are playing with 10 men the better

Re: Your Team for Liverpool?
It fucks me off so much that Downing is in the form of his life at the tip of the diamond, so naturally BFS shoves him to the flank so he can accomodate Nolan.

We will get smashed, based on our last three performances.

We should put out a weakened team as we have no chance of winning.

Might as well rest a few.

Yeah, I'll go with the OP.

I also think Nolan will play instead of Amalfitano as well, but if we win, I won't be bothered.

I understand what you are saying and although I think his leadership and character within the club and dressing room will be a huge loss, I do think his time is up and we should look to recoup some money for him in the summer. I am sure the likes of Derby & Ipswich or a relegated team (if they go down) such as QPR, Leicester or Hull would take him for £1M or £2M in the summer. Otherwise he will go on a free the following year.

Until that time comes I don't see anyone better to have on the bench from our current squad. That all might change though if Fletcher comes in and proves himself. You have to see though that Allardyce is loyal to him and will always have a place for him in the squad. There will always be a place for him on the bench at worse until he either leaves or we sign a better player. He isn't bringing much on the field but off it, in the dressing room before the game and at half time I am sure he is. But you are right, the clock is ticking for him and there is a fair argument that he doesn't deserve to even be on the bench.

Re: Your Team for Liverpool?
I predict, based on a fairly robust set of statistics, 52 year worth, that we will not win this game playing with out firm of solicitors in midfield Nolan, Noble and Song and the big fat twat sticking Downing out wide and saying Sakho isn't fit so Valencia will play. So same lethargic, slow, ponderous, predictable, slow, cumbersome set up as last weekend, did I mention slow.

So my prediction. We will miss the games first real opportunity to go 1-0 and against the first 8 minutes scouse cunts will score against the run of play to go 1-0 up. We will then continue trying to get Carroll to flick a ball onto Valencia for another 25 minutes. Scouse cunts will then score their second just before half-time. In the second we will batter them for the first 7 minutes of the the half. After that nothing much happens until Sturridge comes on as sub and duly scores the cunts third. We get a consolation goal in the 87th minute from a corner. Final score 3-1.

How is Koyoute's team doing in the ANC, as could do with him back?

Would like to see both Noble and Nolan given a rest after their recent performances, but we all know that the worst of the pair Nolan will no doubt start.

El Scorchio 1:52 Mon Jan 26
Re: Your Team for Liverpool?
Top of their group with one to play. (tomorrow) It's Algeria though, so if they lose to Algeria and Ghana best South Africa, both of which are entirely possible, they could be out tomorrow evening.

If so, there's nothing to prevent Kouyate from playing for us at the weekend, is there?
